Hello again everyone!
Not a lot happened this week but that's ok! We did a ton of contacting throughout the week though which is always a good time of sorts haha!
On Thursday we went to this place called the Backporch with a member of the ward here...they have such good southern food! I could literally eat their green beans all day! AND they had banana pudding!!!! I ate loads of that! Unfortunately that place is expensive sooooo we aren't going back any time soon :(
Sister Davis and I spent a lot of time at Cher's house this week which was fun! We were there 3 days in a row, which is a good thing I promise haha! On Thursday we went to her house to shave her head haha! She has a super cool mohawk and it needed touch ups so we provided! The next day we went there, we helped clean up her house a bit. She collects a lot of stuff soooo it took a while but it was still fun and she needed our company. Then the last day, we helped clean a bit more and helped her make a pot roast dinner! Cher is a funny lady for sure...the pictures should tell you a lot to know about her haha! We love her!
Hello again everyone!
On Saturday we also did more service at Andrew's house. We mostly tore up a bunch of tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Saturdays are for service what can I say haha!
This week we had a lesson with Frank which is always a good time! We met up at Tift park again and had a very broad conversation about church. I'm not sure if I've said this before but, Frank will answer our questions...it just takes a couple stories to answer it. Eventually we ended by inviting him to pray about what church is true (we talked about why there are so many religions today) and gave him a Restoration pamphlet to read from. It went really well, especially because he made us a cake the next day! Such a cool guy!
I'm gonna tell a story so my subject line will make more sense :)
So last week and this week were kinda hard and I felt off. Almost like I was stuck in a little box and I couldn't see much outside of it. But, one night, when driving home from a service activity it was later and the sun had gone down. The stars had come out and there were no clouds in the sky. I just took a nice long look at the sky, the stars, and the whole creation. It opened up so much to me. I was let out of that little box and saw God's grand work. It was very refreshing and made me feel so much better! Ever since that time, I've made sure to always stop and look at the sky, no matter the time of day (although the stars will always make me happy haha). So, everyone, stop and look at the sky when you can. Wonder at God's beautiful creation. Take it all in! We live in such a beautiful place and time and God is so aware of us. He sends beautiful little reminders of His love to us each day, we just have to stop and see it. This all reminds me of a wonderful quote by Dieter F. Uchdorf, "Compared to God, man is nothing; yet we are everything to God." He cares so much about every little thing in our lives!
This is shorter so either your welcome or sorry haha!
yall have a good and blessed week! Love you all!!!
Sister Huff!
