Riding bikes and restoring history

Alright everyone! I hope yalls week was super great! Mine was all over the place it seems, so sorry if this email is likewise haha!

To begin, as yall know, there are now 5 sisters in this house (me, sister Waite, and then 3 asl sisters for the other ward) and we have 1 car...so this week we were trying to figure out our car situation and how sharing it will be. Needless to say, it's been crazy but I think we finally got it down!

On Tuesday we had a nice dinner on Villano with some members! They live right on the beach so it was nice to look out to the great Atlantic while we ate. They also told us some awesome stories about their traveling life, seeing as they have served a mission in Vietnam and worked internationally. They've done some really cool stuff and recently we're in good ole Idaho to hike in the Sawtooth area! It was nice to rave about how beautiful idaho is! I love it!

Wednesday we had back to back to back lessons! First we met with River Joy. She is doing so well and has an amazing faith in Jesus Christ. She knows that she was led to this moment in time for a reason and she knows that Christ has helped her every step of the way. There is no doubt that this is true! Our lives are always being guided by God as we make correct choices. Angels are among us!
After River Joy we had a lesson with Mark! Mark is the one who asks a ton of questions, but this lesson/discussion went super good! Because of this meeting I've been studying more about temples which has been super cool!
Then our last lesson was with Kayli! We ate at Panera (and you know I got that good Mac n cheese!) Sister Waite and I vibe so well with Marcus and Kayli! We are all such good friends and I'm very thankful for them! They remind me of my friends back home :') Our lesson with her went super well, we talked about the plan of salvation! Upon talking about the Premortal life, Kayli asked if we knew each other there before we came to earth. Without a doubt I know that we did! We definitely were friends then and our spirits have finally been reunited! Premortal pals one might say! People are put into our lives for a reason. In the closing prayer, kayli thanked that we were friends in the Premortal life and had been brought together now...I literally love this woman! She's amazing in so many ways!

Ok so, Thursday was the day we biked...a lot! We had the sisters drop us off at the hospital so we could visit someone we are teaching. She is doing a lot better which is awesome! We talked to her for a bit and prayed together. When we left, we had to bike home. Of course it was the hottest day too haha! First we biked to get lunch then went right on home! It wasn't too bad, just over 5 miles. Although, I wore the wrong thing. Biking in dresses is not easy and I totally got my dress stuck in the wheel. We also had to bike on some busy roads so that was intesting. Nevertheless we made it home safely and very sweaty!

Saturday was super awesome! We had the opportunity to participate in a community service project. We helped clean up an old African American cemetery that had been overrun by mother nature. There were endless amounts of graves to be uncovered and documented. The condition of the cemeteries was sad but the amount of help we had to fix it was astounding! Over 160 people showed up and everyone was doing their part! People we cutting down trees, cutting back all the vines and bushes, cleaning off the headstones so they could be readable, and finding graves to document. Sister Waite and I had the job of finding and marking graves. We marked them with flags and then wrote the condition of them/who was buried there. It was really interesting and nice to help the community. Not to mention help the people buried there be remembered.

Later on Saturday we had a lesson with Sam. She is doing well but definitely needs some extra prayers from yall. Her life is just going crazy at the moment. But the lesson was amazing, the spirit was definitely there!

Sunday we had 3 people come to church! One was Briana! We went to her church last week. She enjoyed it a lot which is super great...also, we found out that she's actually a member. She was baptized in the 80s so now...we just gotta reactivate her haha! That was definitely a twist we didn't expect haha!

Well, that's about it for me. I hope yall enjoyed haha! This week, reach out in love to all those around you. This world is full of enough mean peoole...let us be kind no matter our differences!

Love yall so much!
