Dinner and a show

Hello yall!! This week was filled with so much crazy random stuff! Life is never dull out here.

Last Monday for our P-day we went to a lake house as a district and there we fished, ate lunch and played volleyball. It was so fun! Fishing was probably the best part. We caught quite a few fish. I think we all caught at least 8 bass, 1 pike, and I caught an Alligator garr. That was pretty cool! apparently not many people catch those things so wooo I'm a cool fisher woman! (pics provided!)

Ok now into the week,
On Tuesday we had our weekly lesson with Mark. He still has many many questions BUT he did say that he was going to read the Book of Mormon...although, not starting at the beginning. He said he'd just open to a random page and read the 2 pages with it. It's something though!! He also promised us that he'd provide dinner in our next visit and that he'd make us the "best briscut you'd ever have" and that "after eating it you'll believe everything I say" haha! So on saturday we had dinner and a lesson with him....and let me say, that briscut was pretty dang good! I still won't believe everything he says though haha! I'd 10/10 recommend this briscut to anyone! Gordon Ramsey would approve.
After a delicous dinner, Mark showed us some of his guitar skills. The guy was in a few bands in his lifetime and has been playing for over 40 years. One day I hope to be able to play the guitar like him! He's definitely warming up to us so that is awesome!

Wednesday we had our lesson with Kayli! She is doing so awesome and the days are getting closer and closer to her baptism! We talked all about Jesus Christ in this lesson. I have a strong testimony of Christs love for us. Our lives would be impossible and miserable if it weren't for Him. He decended below all things so that we could rise above them. Theres a super good poem that I came across that I love. part of it says,

"On the days I feel the smallest, I can know He has felt smaller.
In the moments I feel most weak, I believe He has felt weaker.
In the times I feel most alone, I know He has felt more lonely.
When pain of body, mind, or spirit course through my being, I know He has felt pain that is greater.
When tears stain my cheeks, anxiety fills my chest, and it seems impossible to draw another deep breath, I know He has cried these tears, and knows the pain of angst.
I know Jesus Christ has descended below all things so that someday, through Him, I might rise above,"

Anyways, there is so much to be thankful for! We are never alone in our trials.

On Friday and Saturday I was on a trade off with Hermana Young! She is so fun! We stayed in St. aug and we did a bunch of biking. It was the first time she'd ever biked on her mission so that was an adventure! She loved it though! We talked a lot about how important names are to people. Think, when someone is talking to you and they directly use your name, it makes you relize that person cares. So my new goal is to use peoples names more in conversation, especially when bearing testimony that this gospel is for them! Try it out yall!

Last, but certainly not least, I found a road that is named "Huff"!!! Of course I had to take the typical missionary pictures next to it! So happy about that!

Halloween is coming up so I wish yall a happy and safe Halloween! Go scare people for me!
Love yall so very very much! thanks for all the love and support! mission life is hard but it sure is an adventurous time! every good hike through the mountains needs a few hard climbs and downhill slopes!

Yall are awesome!

Love, Sister Huff :)
