Jacksonville Florida is getting one of the best!

How lucky I am having something that makes saying goodbye so hard

We woke up at 4:00 am.  It was a blizzard outside.  Pocatello sure had a fond farewell for Sister Huff.  I would want to be headed to Florida on a cold, wet, snowey day like today.  Hayden and Cierra were here.  Landon was unable to be here due to working at 7:00 in Salt Lake.  So he had face time phone called her the night before.

Sister Huff had never flown alone before, so she had a little anxiety about the trip.  I gave her as much advice as I could to help her when she was in the airports.  Luckily she was able to fly from Pocatello to Salt Lake with a few other Elders, one she knew from our Stake, Elder Seedall. He was headed to Tennessee and he was also traveling through Dallas just like Aubrie.  Unfortuately, when they got to SLC, they realized that after sitting at Elder Seedalls gate for about an hour, that things didn't make sence.  His flight number was different.  Aubrie was messaging me and we discovered that she needed to be at a different gate.  Luckily she had 3 hour layover and had plenty of time to get to the correct gate.  She messaged me just before getting on the plane and said she also found some other friends! (missionary's)  Her flight to Dallas left on time, but arrived late.  Luckily her gate for her connection was not far from where she got off the plane.  There was  chick-fil-a right off the gate and she was starving.  Got her some food and boarded the plane.  This is also where she met up with her MTC companion Sister Graf.  They were able to sit together on the flight from Dallas to Jacksonville.

Sister Huff and Sister Graf.  Love those smiles!

Aubrie called us around 7:30 that evening.  She looked and sounded so good.  She was tired after a long day of flying, but she was happy to be in Florida.  She will be staying with 2 other sisters until Friday.  She will then get her assignment.  For the next couple days, she will have training and instructions.  We met the sisters she is staying with.  One is from Utah and the other is from California.

We are beyond excited for her.  The house is a little more quiet and  I miss hearing the laughter upstairs from conversations with her MTC district, but mostly laughter from her and Maysa having their late night conversations.

Looking forward to her first email from Jacksonville.  For now, I will just imagine how her days are going.  Busy, busy, busy and blessed!

She looked so beautiful and ready to go!
