So once again, not much happened this week...but it's a little more than last week so that's good haha!
We had our last district council of the transfer...seems like I just got here haha but oh well! Time in the mission flies by! My district is really awesome and I love them all so much! It's nice to have a bigger district haha!
We also did some contacting as always and we decided one day to walk...bad idea in Florida but it was worth the experience haha! For every door not opened we would take a selfie...there's lots of selfish BUT we did contact a few people and they are great! We talked to this nonmember lady named Pegg and she is so cool! She's an old lady who lives alone and has a pink door! Her house is full of her paintings and she sat us down, gave us some water, and we had a really good conversation for a good hour or so! That day we also had some good contacts with some members too who let us in their houses! Yay!
We made more cookies this week. I don't think I've made so many cookies in my entire life! But alas they are the best ways to get into people's houses haha!
Ok ok now the important stuff! On Saturday Angelina was baptized! We share taught her with the ysa sisters. It has been amazing to see her change so much over the past few weeks! She has taken some very key and huge steps of faith and has been so blessed for it. I love her dearly and her baptism was amazing!
Also transfer news...I am yet again being transfered haha! But I'm staying in the Jax South Zone and only going about 30 min from Nocatee, where I am now. So ya, I'm going to serve in St. Augustine (the oldest city in the US) and I will be second half training Sister Waite! It will be such a party! I'm so excited! That all happenes this week so yay!
This week I read a scripture during personal study (I cannot remember what scripture...but that not important right now) what is important is what it reminded me of! So this scripture reminded me of a study that I did a while ago about God's love. It brought me to 2 Nephi 1:15 where Lehi says "I am encircled about eternally in the arms of His love." And also Jacob 6:5 about how "His arm of mercy is extended towards you." I love these because it reminded me that Christ is always reaching out to us with open arms. Calling our name. Calling us to Him. We just have to heed His call and turn to Him. You too can say that you are encircled in the arms of His love. Turn to Him! Give Christ a hug! He will help you and comfort you!
I love this gospel and all its wonderful truths! Everything we do in the church makes us better people. Every teaching builds you up to a higher level and will never bring you down. God loves YOU so much!
Love you all!
Sister Huff :)
