Christmas zone conference was so much fun! We were all in Tallahassee and there were so many missionaries there! We began with some teachings about missionaries in the Book of Mormon. It was pretty interesting to compare their lives and their success. Ammon taught a whole nation, Nephi (son of Helaman) taught 8,000 people, and Mormon taught no one. Or at least, no one accepted it. All of them are seen as successful though. An Elder said "if you bring the spirit into someone's home, you are a successful missionary." That is very comforting and makes sense!
We also discussed Alma 7:11-13 with President Wood and that was super awesome! We talked about how Christ took upon Himself our pains, sicknesses, and temptations ALONG with sin and death. We went into what that truly means for us and how it applies to us. To go along with that, today while reading the New Testament I read the account of Christ going to the Garden of Gethsemane. I really should read that account more often because the spiritual power in it is amazing!
The next best thing that happened at zone conference was the talent show! Wow, there are some talented missionaries! One of my favorite performances was three elders. Two were on the guitar and one of them was playing the clarinet. Seems like a odd combination...and it was but it sounded good and more people should play the clarinet with guitars haha!
Yesterday we went caroling with the relief society so that was a blast! Everytime we sang Silent Night, the person we were singing to would begin to cry. Man, I love music so much! It brings such a unique spirit into people's lives.
Well, that's about it for now! I feel like my emails are getting shorter and shorter...sorry about that lol! maybe next time!
Love yall so much! Keep the faith!
Sister Huff :)
