Holy moly yall!!! This week was super awesome! It feels like it was eternally long but in a good way!
To begin, we had a pretty sweet Zone Conference on Tuesday. Sister Smith and I had to give a training on the Book of Mormon and we were so excited for it until Sister Wood (presidents wife) gave almost the exact same training to all the missionaries! We were so stressed trying to change up our training but it went well and everyone liked it! In the other teachings we talked a lot about the Plan of Salvation and that prepared us for the next big event............Sister Smith and I got to go to the temple!!!
That is right! We went to the first happiest place on the earth, the temple, specifically the Orlando Florida temple (not to be confused with the second happiest place on earth, disney world which is also in Orlando haha!). Anyways, it was an experience that I needed so bad and I'm so happy that we got to go! The Orlando temple is so beautiful! I hadn't been to the temple in over a year so this was my second time ever. I went in with a few questions and while I was in the Celestial room I got some answers. I know that questions are answered in the temple, especially when we go in prepared. If you haven't gone to the temple in a while, I encourage you to go if you can! In it you will find peace in this crazy world. You will have rest from the storms. Even if you can't go in, you can still go and look at it and explore the temple grounds. I know it is the House of our Lord!
The rest of the week we had blessing after blessing after blessing!! We met so many new people and had some fire lessons with the ones we are teaching now! Here's a cool story of one of the blessings we saw this week. So, we were getting home from a service project and went inside to eat lunch. Sister Smith was like "hey, do you want to walk to get the mail?" (usually we just get it when we're on our way out the door and stop by to get it) I said sure and we headed out. We got to the mail...nothing was in it...(*wink wink* please send us mail it's been so long since we've gotten a letter :') ) Anyways, so we just started walking back home. There was this guy also walking to the mailbox and so we stopped to talk to him real fast. Just asked how his day was going and all that. Eventually we found out that he was from England and had just moved here recently. One thing led to another and boom we were talking about missionary work. Apparently he had met with missionaries before in Germany! We asked if he'd like a Book of Mormon and he said "sure why not!?" and we set up a time to meet with him! He lives just a few houses down from us too! From this whole experience I just gained a stronger testimony of the fact that we need to always follow promptings! If Sister Smith would have rationalized her thought to go get the mail, we would have never met that man! God truly does put people into our paths. Always be looking out for them!
