Wonderful things soon come to an end!

Hello once again everyone! I hope yall are doing well!

This week was pretty eventful and full of small miracles, specifically miracles involving the restoration!

To set the tone for the week, we had an awesome district council where we worked on telling the restoration on the first contact with people. We were then challenged to find an opportunity to teach the restoration at some point in the week! Sister Smith had this goal in mind and boy did we see blessings from it!
So, to begin, we showed up to Julie Mays house and there was another lady there with her. We just sat down and began to talk to Julie May and see if she's prayed about baptism yet. Right when we mentioned baptism, the other lady wanted to know more about it too! So we basically taught a shortened version of the Restoration to her and she said it made her want to change her life! That was a super cool experience!
The next day we went to visit a lady who we met street contacting a few weeks ago. She let us in and we were just planning on getting to know her a bit but then we mentioned that we have a unique message of Jesus Christ (that "unique" part always gets people haha) and she wanted to know more about what makes us "unique". Soooooo we taught her the Restoration too! The spirit was so strong in that lesson and she was so engaged in it! I just love walking away from a lesson thinking "holy moly! The spirit led every bit of that conversation!"
There were many other opportunities that we were given to tell others about the Restoration of Christ's church but those were just a few :)

Greg and Sally came to church! We also had a pretty good lesson with them on Wednesday! They are having a hard time believing the Book of Mormon is needed for them to come closer to Christ. Slowly but surely I hope they will come to know that! They loved church though and knew a lot of people there too! I just love those two!

There was a baptism in the other ward on Saturday and that was a super cool experience! The lady being baptized is in a wheelchair and can't stand very well on her own but that woman was ready to be baptized! So in order to help her, there had to be 3 guys in the font to baptize her...and the first time she didn't go all the way under so they had to do it again. Even though that might seem hectic, it wasn't and the spirit was so strong! It was truly a great baptism!

Also this week we had a quick contact with Ade! (the guy that we met while walking home from the mailbox) and he has been doing so good! He works a ton but still wants to meet and is making time for us to visit! He said he hasn't been able to read the Book of Mormon yet because he is so busy with traveling and work (his work is an hour and a half away)...but Sister Smith had the glorious idea to have him listen to the Book of Mormon on the way to work! He was so excited to start doing that! We are too!

This week we also got our transfer calls.......and, I really should have realized by now that the Lord likes to move me around and shouldn't have expected something different haha! So yup, I'm unfortunately leaving the beloved Lake City Florida :'( I have come to love this quirky town so much and it's gonna be hard to leave it and all the amazing people here. But, for now, God needs me in Jacksonville! I'm going to be in the Mandarin 1st ward to be an STL and SMS missionary (social media specialist)! This should be interesting to say the least haha!

That is it for me this week! Keep yourselves in the scriptures! I read a super awesome scripture about reading the words of Christ...it's in Alma 37:44-45 which says

44 For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss, as it was for our fathers to give heed to this compass, which would point unto them a straight course to the promised land.
45 And now I say, is there not a type in this thing? For just as surely as this director did bring our fathers, by following its course, to the promised land, shall the words of Christ, if we follow their course, carry us beyond this vale of sorrow into a far better land of promise

I know that when we read the words of Christ, we will know what to do and they will help lead us to eternal life!

Have a wonderful week! Love yall so much!

Sister Huff :)
