a child…

Hello again! This was quite the week for us! We got transfer calls and here's the news.....I'm gonna be training a brand new missionary!!! I was definitely not expecting that one but...here we are lol! And I'm staying in Mandarin 1st so that's pretty sweet! I've never expected my mission to end like this but it's what God has in store so I'm good with it haha! Plus, I'm not gone yet!

Anyways, now after the super big news, here's my week :)

#1: Chuck is literally the most elect man out there! We've been mega blessed! One night we got a bunch of texts from him full of questions/things he was learning from the Book of Mormon! In our next lesson we mostly just talked about those questions. The spirit was so so strong in that lesson! Then on Saturday there was a baptism in another ward so we went to it with Chuck. It was a great baptism and exactly what Chuck needed to continue to build the spiritual foundation he's been working on! He told us that he couldn't help but see his own baptism! It's amazing to see his testimony grow! In essence, this whole process of his learning can be described from Moronis promise at the end of the Book of Mormon, which says,

"4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

Chuck has come to know the goodness of God because of his sincere faith and desire to learn! Everything he has learned has been testified of by the Holy Ghost! It's so cool! Ah!!!

In other news, we laid a crazy amount of mulch on Saturday! Man oh man it was hot and exhausting and then, we had to bike back to our car! I'm not sure what we were thinking on that one but oh well! On the way back to the car, we stopped to see a less active member and they ended up buying us tacos from a food truck so that made up for all the sweat and tears haha!

Also! This week I got to see my girl Sister Smith so that was a party! Shout out to her! We're gonna kick it in Lake city one more time when we both go there for transfers so that's gonna be a great time! Memories galore!

That's about all I can remember for this week haha! I hope y'all have a great week! Next time I email, I'll have had a "child"! Yay!

Love yall!

Sister Huff :)
