Eventually every good things comes to an end…

Hello all!
Despite the subject line of this, good things will also continue to happen! We got our transfer calls last Saturday night and despite all our predictions...I am leaving Albany Georgia and I'm going to the pan handle of Florida to a place known as Holmes Creek. It is in the Panama City Zone and I'm really excited! I'll be one time zone closer to yall at home! I'm white washing the area (or pink washing because we are replacing elders) let's just say,, the people of Holmes creek will be super excited to finally get sisters...hahaha!! My companion Sister Davis is staying in Albany and both the Elders who are here are leaving. Its sad to go but all is well!

Now that the main news is out, here's my week!

We finally got into contact with Frank!! He is doing well and was mostly preoccupied with his doctors stuff. We have met with him twice though which is great! The first time we talked, we didn't teach much because he had to go on and tell us all that has happened to him. We did fit some spiritual stuff in though! the second time we met, I had found out I was leaving. We had to break the bad news to him and he isn't very happy that I'm leaving. He's going to be a hard one to leave. Hes such a wonderful and promising person but I trust sister davis will continue to take care of him. We had a great lesson that time about Gods plan for him. We also talked about Lehis vision in 1 Nephi and he really liked that! We will have a few more lessons with him before I go.

We also had a super duper good lesson with Nykimbria! She is GOLDEN! We taught her the plan of salvation and she loved every bit of it! While we read scriptures we could see her connecting all the dots of Gods plan for her. It was beautiful to watch!  At the end of the lesson, we were telling her about the kingdoms of glory. When we explained the first two, Telestial and terrestrial, she seemed confused and didn't really understand what we were saying but the second we said "Celestial kingdom" and explained it her face lit up as if it was familiar. She then exclaimed "I want to go there!" The Celestial kingdom is the ultimate goal! It is where we can be with God and our families for all eternity! It was so powerful to testify to her that she can make it to the celestial kingdom. The spirit was so strong in that lesson and it is one I'll never forget! Some sad news came later however...she is moving to Atlanta...and has moved already. so that was the last time I'll see her. We are trying to get the missionaries in Atlanta to teach her and hopefully all will work out!

On Saturday we did so much service it was amazing! We first went to the Cartmalls house (the ones with the dogs) and we fixed up their yard and bathed all 7 dogs! After that we went to the Halls house and did more yard work for them too! They are so wonderful! It will be hard to leave them! Davis and I trimmed a bunch of bushes for them and laid some rocks in their flower beds. Man, it is soooooo hot and the gnats are insane right now! It was good hard sweaty work for sure but it was worth it because they fed us haha!

One day, I had the best personal study ever! I wish I had my study journal with me so I could go into detail but for now I'll rely on my memory. I was reading in Mosiah 24 and read about the people of Alma. They were being harshly persecuted by the Lamanites. The Lord comforted them and told them that the next day they would be delivered out of the Lamanites hands. To these people that must have been terribly scary! But the Lord comforts them and tells them that He would go amongst them. How comforting would that be!? The Almighty God would be with them in every step of their escape. That led me to the story in Exodus when God tells Moses to deliver his people from the Pharaoh. Moses says "who am I?" and God comforts Moses and says that he would be with him, "Certainly I will be with thee." That made me realize how much people are told in scripture that Christ will be with them. When given a commandment or task to do by the Lord, He will always provide a way to do it. He won't leave us helpless! We have been commanded to Gather Israel. That seems like an impossible task to do alone but because God has commanded it, he will help us in every step of the way! I love that promise! We are never alone in this life!

I hope yall have a wonderful week and stay peachy!

Love yall so very very much!

Sister Huff
