To begin...IT BEEN SO COLD! On Friday and Saturday it rained nonstop day and night here. This caused most of down town St. Augustine to flood (good thing we didn't have any visits there)! And before yall say, "oh but you're still in Florida, it's so much colder here in the north west" ...on saturday it was colder here than back home! While Pocatello was chilling at 54 degrees, St. Augustine Florida was at 46 degrees and humid cold. Good thing I packed my leggings and a jacket or else I would've been frozen! The weird thing about it all though is that the trees and grass are still green and thriving haha!
One of the main events of this week was our transfer calls! It's still super weird that this transfer is already over. I feel like I've barely been in St. Augustine! So...my transfer news is......I'm leaving St. Augustine and being transfered to Price Creek in Lake City Florida and I will be an STL and whitewashing the area. It should be pretty good! My trainer (sister davis) started her mission in Price Creek and that was also her last area! I'm excited to go and meet everyone she knew! Sister Waite, my dear sweet daughter, will be staying in St. Aug and she's going to train a new missionary!! I'm going to be a "grandma"!!!
I have LOVED my time in St. Augustine! It's going to be so so hard to leave this place. It definitely has my heart along with all the people here! Here, I have grown in so many ways. I think it is here that I gained a strong testimony in the effectiveness of hard work and having your motivation be the love of God and of my fellow man. I know that as we work hard, make effective goals, and are focused on Christ, we can find success in all that we do. That doesn't mean it wont be hard but it is definitely worth it! I've had my ups and downs these past transfers, but through it all Christ has been by my side. This is His work and I'm just happy to be a little part of it! The Lord has something good waiting for me in Lake City (aka Lake Litty) It'll be good!
Alright now with the activites of this week! Most of this week was filled with contacts which is fun. On Sunday we went out so visit a few people and ended up finding a new person to teach! She is so awesome and we are so glad we decided to stop by! We're gonna start doing bible studies with her and her family!
Also on Sunday, Kayli was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! Yay! It was such a cool experience and as I've said before, I love Kayli so much! It will be hard to leave her and the Petersen family! Ah!
On Saturday, we went out to dinner with the other sisters here and that was lots of fun! It would be our last night together as just us 4 because the next day we got Hermana Young with us! It's a party!
Overall, this week was pretty chill! I'm excited to see what this week brings!
Yall have a wonderful week and keep up the faith! You go it! and for those in Pocatello, go to the newly dedicated temple for me!!! Love yall!
